Pope Francis: I’m not afraid of Trump

Pope Francis is taking a hard line on President Donald Trump as he takes aim at his presidency and moves toward his 100th day in office on Sunday.

“I don’t fear Trump,” the pope said during his weekly audience.

“I do not fear Trump, because I know him well, because we were close in childhood.

I know how he operates.

I have never seen him act in a way that does not reflect a sincere respect for the human person, for the dignity of the human being, for all human beings.”

We are going to remain vigilant, we are going the extra mile.

We are going for the people, the human dignity of our people, and this is what we want.
